Hedshok was inspired by Richard Bennett, who uses his eyes to communicate and make music. The design is based around his ability to move his head in a circular motion as well as side to side.

It features easy to select effects using his existing Grid 3 mouse control system, as well as adding effects such as filters which are usually consigned to a rotary control. A mouse user can click and hold to rotate, but it's tricky for him to control continuously using eyegaze controlled mouse control.
